2. Position the new lift support over the ball stud and press the ball socket down onto the stud.
3. Repeat this process for all mounting points.
4. After installation, tug gently to confirm that all ball sockets are securely attached to the ball studs.

Determining the Correct Support

To identify the strength needed for your lid, weigh it using a 2x4 or similar vertical support to hold the lid open.
